About Sarah - Greater Manchester based proofreader and copy-editor

I am qualified proofreader and trained copy-editor, and I am a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.

I have over 10 years of experience of working within the publishing field. My career so far has ranged from a spell working in one of the largest educational publishers in the international market (Nelson Thornes), to managing the production of publications at the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). 

My role at QAA was to oversee the whole production process of the review publications, from early drafts and edits, to final proofing and ultimately publication. I have a wealth of editorial and workload management experience, and I have worked closely with authors and external suppliers to achieve mutual goals with great success.

I have extensive knowledge and experience of working to strict deadlines and tight turnaround times, so you can rely on me to return your work quickly without compromising on quality.

I possess the expertise to proofread and copy-edit on-screen in Word and PDF, or in hard copy using BSI proofreading symbols (or and agreed style of your choice).

Though based in Greater Manchester, I offer my proofreading and copy-editing services to clients all over the UK.
